How to Install QE Tech WritE-mail

Step 1 - Download the Setup Program
Download the latest version of the software

For best performance, ensure you have updated your windows operating system.
Click here for Windows Update
Step 2 - Run the Setup Program
To run the installer program, double-click the WMxxx_xxx.exe file and click <Yes> to continue



Choose an installation language - at the moment only English and Japanese are available. This is simply to tell the installer in which language to display the instructions and license agreement. The same software will be installed regardless of what language you choose.




You will next see the Welcome Page, click <Next> to continue
Step 3 - Agree to the EULA
Next you will be shown the End User License Agreement (EULA). READ THIS AGREEMENT VERY CAREFULLY. If you do not agree to the terms of the EULA, please click <Cancel> now, otherwise please click <I Accept...> to continue.


Step 4 - Install the Windows system files (if needed)
If you have updated your system at Windows update, the required Windows system files should already be in place. If you have not installed Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer 6, you will require a component call msxml. Setup will detect this file, and if not present will prompt you to install it. Step 5 - Finish the Installation

Once all of the QE Tech WritE-mail (and Microsoft) software has been installed, you will see the following screen, with the word "Completed" in the lower left corner. Click <Next> to continue



QE Tech WritE-mail has now installed the necessary software, and is ready for use. Click <Finish>



QE Tech WritE-mail will now offer to start for you, and will open the "Start Menu" folder with the QE Tech WritE-mail shortcuts for the documentation and the uninstaller. Also, a "welcome" web page will open with important information, please take a moment to read it.





Congratulations - you have now installed QE Tech WritE-mail.

Installation Technical Notes:
  • In Windows 2000 or XP, you must be an Administrator (or Power User) to install QE Tech WritE-mail on your computer.
  • QE Tech WritE-mail has not been certified for use on Windows 3.1, 95, 98, or ME. At the present time, QE Tech WritE-mail does not run on non-Windows systems, such as Mac or Linux systems.
